What can I say? Often too much, sometimes not enough. This is my playground site..just here to have some fun and giggles...I have other sites where I'm all serious-like. C'mon in, have a cup of coffee ( or beverage of your choice) and meander through ;-)

(con't from part one)
Don't use the Stumble Button The stumble button is just notworking for me anymore. there's just so much poor content, repeats, and spam, that it is hardly worth it anymore.I I find this ironic..in that the core function of StumbleUpon is now the least attractive part of SU for me.
Quit trying to make the SU system better. I've worked within the system ,mostly in the spam arena. I've worked outside the system ( and very nearly lost this account as a result). The competing forces here are way beyond my control.I have to accept that I can't change things, and I cannot do anything to makes stumbleland a better place.
Manage my network
My network is the most important factor in the quality of my life here on SU.
I am going to switch up my network more often. I so wish they wouldn't call it friends. It is nothing personal when I drop you as a friend. I am switching up my content, nothing more, nothing less. Sometimes I am in the mood for political content, sometimes photoblogs, . We all change and grow, your interests may diverge from mine, and that's OK
I am going to spend more time on quality blogs. If your blog is good, I'll subscribe. Doesn't mean I want to be your friend, just means I like your stuff. We might correspond, we might even become friend, if we do, That's a bonus.
Build a very good network. Think of it like magazine content...and you can get everything from The New Yorker to Wired to Readers Digest to pulp magazines. Subscribe to stumblers who have, what is to you, good content.
Stumble the good stumblers If they are a good content provider, they have a treasure trove of good stuff. Go through their tags. Randomly stumble them. If they have content that suits your taste, you will always be delighted with what they have found.
Keep the Spammers out of your Network If you have spammers in your network, or thumb up spammy sites, I'm dropping you from my network. Again nothing personal. One persons spam is another persons good content. I have spent a lot of time researching the spam issue, and I don't like spam. Period. If you have spam in your network, that means I am going to be exposed to it. I don't want it. I don't need it. Dropping you is like a filter for me. Again, nothing personal.
This strategy is being adopted all over by veteran stumblers. And it pretty much works. You can get good quality of content.... But here is the irony, the paradox What makes for a good Stumbling experience Is bad for the stumble business model. And again, in the quantity over quality race, quanity wins. Think about it. SU derives much of it's income from sponsored ads via the stumble button. Quantity wins. The more stumbles, the more ads, the more money. The more users, the more you can charge for ads. Now, the SEO types and the spammers know this....they know the traffic from stumbleupon is not great...it is very much "hit and run", low conversion rates, we don't click on ads, but hey, traffic is traffic, a click is a click, numbers are numbers. QUANTITY. Over quality. So, the whole point of this long winded essay ( and I thank you if you have read this far) is to explain , In some small part, why you won't be seeing me around so much.
